Faggot : Good or Bad

After reading this chapter by Ken Corbett - I have a whole new meaning of the word "faggot"!! I have always been very uneasy about this word and the comfort in how people choose to use it so freely. I have also view this word the same way Eminem describes it. I feel those who choose to us this word is not using it to categorize a person, but a way of demeaning that person. In the case of the little boy Josh - I think it was a way to share something similar to his older brother. His older brother used this word, so therefore Josh wanted to us it too. Josh, even though he said he didn't want to be like his brother, he truly valued what his brother said and did. He's older brother was who he wanted to be like.
