Jocks in Frocks

This is the first time I ever watched this show and I absolutely enjoyed watching it.
I thought of this show as just another version of America's Next Top Model but way more entertaining.
I found the show very interesting in many ways.
For example, when they call each other she, and also when one of the guys made a comment saying that "harder you throw, more you will look like a dude"
Some of the competitors really threw the balls like a girl as if they cared more about looking feminine than throwing the ball hard and winning the competition.

I also like how much pride they have in themselves and not worrying about how others would view them; although Carmen had some trouble coming out when he was young, now he looks confident with himself especially his body. His transformation really surprised me as he was more beautiful than a real woman.

My favorite quote in the show was when one guy said, "Doesn't matter, nobody is perfect"-referring to a heterosexual athlete who said he is straight.
This quote made the heterosexual athletes look like there is something wrong with them.

  1. You make really nice references. I also agree with the dunk tank competition. It seemed as though they wanted to throw like a girl and not like a guy. But to them, a girl threw mildly and almost weak-like, so I wonder if even gay men think that of women...that we are weak and meager. But then I wonder, why would they cross-dress right? I don't know... it's definitely a good topic to explore.

  2. I also loved that quote when the guy said "Doesn't matter, nobody is perfect." It made me laugh, but perhaps it also jokingly referred to the lighthearted, easy acceptance of other sexualities.
